     CAPTAIN NITIN DHOND

Our Managing Director Capt Nitin Dhond, is a Merchant Navy Captain and has passed out from the prestigious Naval academy T. S. Rajendra in 1977-78.

He is to credit, the distinction of working with international companies like Mobile Oil, Reliance,  has undertaken special assignments like STS transfers operation of LPG tankers dry docking LPG tanker for Varun Shipping Ltd. and developing marine, banking and newspaper software.

Capt Nitin is also the Managing Director of Rachana InfoTech. a software company and Member of the management committee of Tarun Bharat Group of Companies, which he spearheaded from 1987 to 1991.

   PANDURANG alias BABA DHOND  

Mr. Panduranga Narahari Dhond, affectionately know as Baba Dhond is our inspiration icon for Wildernest nature resort. A qualified Mechanical Engineer from India and a Chemical Engineer from London Institute, Baba Dhond has 46 year of experience with leading companies of the country like Bharat Petrochemicals, NOCIL Petrochemicals and Hindustan Cieba Giegy.

 

Baba Dhond is an avid traveler and has traveled around the globe to countries like the UK, USA, Switzerland, China, Bali, Indonesia, etc. He is also a member of Paryavaran Mandal, Belgaum and is very well known in social and cultural circles in Belgaum and Goa.

Respected for his commitment towards Nature Conservation and Plastic eradication even at the age of 75 years, Baba Dhond 's continued efforts to improve the eco concepts at Wildernest Nature Resort go a long way to strengthen our ties with nature.

 
   
     NIRMAL KULKARNI

Nirmal Kulkarni is our youngest Director. Trained as an ecologist, Nirmal has been studying the Goan Sahyadris for the past 11 years and has several projects to his credit. Graduated from Goa Collage of Art with specialization in Photography, Nirmal has also completed his Masters in Environment and Ecology.

He has to his credit, the distinction of being Goa's youngest Hon Wildlife Warden and Member of state Wildlife Advisory Board from 2000-03. A state Yuva Awardee, Nirmal is also the recipient of Sarpamitra award from the Indian Herpetological Society for conservation and research work in snakes an the state of Goa and has been a member of National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan state committee.

 

His specialized fields include wildlife photography and conservation related studies of herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) in the Sahyadris.

 

A committed ecologist and wildlifer, Nirmal Kulkarni is widely known as conservation circles and spends most of his time studying herpetofauna in the Sahyadris.
